Bhuleshwar Mahadeo Temple, Pune, Maharashtra The Bhuleshwar Temple is an interesting example of Bhumija architecture. Built in basalt stone, it is situated on the Sinhagad–Bhuleshwar range, one of the eastern spurs of the Sahyadris. On stylistic grounds, the central shrine can be dated between the 11th and 12th centuries CE. The east-facing temple stands on an elevated platform enclosed by a surrounding wall. The central Shiva shrine consists of a garbhagriha, antarala, and sabha-mandapa, with a detached Nandi mandapa. Source: Archaeological Survey of India
