About the App Bhasha Sangam App is a mobile application developed by the Ministry of Education. It aims to foster the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat by enabling people across India to learn the different languages of India and come closer to their culture. The App facilitates online language learning and allows users to simultaneously learn as many languages as they wish. It enables the users to understand basic sentences of everyday conversation in various languages. It opens doors for them to explore their own country's vast and rich culture, uninhibited by any language barriers. Also, Learning another language helps one settle in another state. Bhasha Sangam celebrates India's rich cultural diversity through mutual interaction between people of different States and UTs. This initiative aims to diminish the language barriers in our country and promote cultural connection. One can learn all the 22 official languages of India for free from the App: 1) Assamese, (2) Bengali, (3) Gujarati, (4) Hindi, (5) Kannada, (6) Kashmiri, (7) Konkani, (8) Malayalam, (9) Manipuri, (10) Marathi, (11) Nepali, (12) Oriya, (13) Punjabi, (14) Sanskrit, (15) Sindhi, (16) Tamil, (17) Telugu, (18) Urdu (19) Bodo, (20) Santhali, (21) Maithili and (22) Dogri. Significant features of the App The entire course is designed in a Gamified Lesson map. Each lesson is personalized based on the user's accuracy in answering questions. Daily practice based on the user's accuracy and frequency of learning Exciting images for each phrase to establish a connection The App features two animated characters, Bhaarat and Vaani, who come in 22 different avatars relevant to these 22 languages. These characters provide information about the language they are learning. 500+ cultural tips across all the languages to bring learners closer to the Indian culture Instant Feedback after each question is answered. A Star score is displayed after each lesson to track progress. Users can learn 100+ sentences with their translations and audios in 22 languages. After every sentence, the user is asked to answer a few questions to ensure learning. After a user has learned all the sentences, he is tested comprehensively. An e-certificate from the Govt. of India, with users' names auto-printed, is awarded in a downloadable format based on the test. The App is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
