DRDO Paid Internship Scheme Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL) is a premier research laboratory under DRDO, working in the field of Software Based Radios, Satellite Communication, Data link, and Surveillance Technologies. DEAL invites applications from eligible (Indian Citizens) B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. (Electronics) final year meritorious students for DRDO Paid Internship in prescribed format latest by 30 June 2026 for the following disciplines. Shortlisted students will only be notified about the joining procedures and regarding Indemnity Bond. Eligibility Criteria Engineering students who are pursuing full time B.Tech./B.E. and have completed 3rd year / 6th semester or going to complete by July 2026. (OR) Engineering students who are pursuing full time M.Tech./M.Sc.(Electronics) and have completed 1st year / 2nd semester or going to complete by July 2026. Students who have got backlogs (failed) in any of the exams in the first 05 semesters of degree are NOT eligible to apply. The student with CGPA ≥ 7.0 on a scale of 10 (copy to be enclosed) from AICTE approved College/Universities (Percentage to CGPA Conversion by standard AICTE formula). Internship Duration 06 Months (Fixed) Selection Procedure Selection will be based entirely on merit basis. No communication will be undertaken for rejected candidates. The Management reserves the right to change the vacancy positions or selections criteria at any point during selection process of aforesaid Internship scheme without assigning any reason whatsoever. Stipend Stipend of total Rs. 30,000/- in two installments will be paid (Rs. 15,000/- after completion of 3 months and Rs. 15000/- after completion of 6 months) subject to attendance of minimum 15 days in a month. The Paid Internship shall be applicable for 06 months duration only. Students who do not complete the 06 months internship are not eligible for the stipend or certificate. Other expenditure such as lodging, boarding, transport & medical etc if any, will be borne by the individual student during the course of internship. Important Dates Last date for receipt of application: 30 June 2026 Intimation to selected students: 15 July 2026 Date of start for internship training: 03 August 2026 Incomplete/ erroneous application received or received after the due date will be rejected. No further communication in this regard will be entertained. Documents to be Submitted Selected students will have to submit the following documents (In original) at the time of joining: No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college authorities on college letterhead mentioning that the student will be relieved for Internship training at DEAL & that the student will be present for a minimum 15 working days in a month for Internship. Police Verification from local police station (Home Town). Acknowledgement received from police station to be submitted at the time of joining. Undertaking for adherence to Indian Official Secret Act, 1923. Undertaking that Interns will follow IT Rules & Regulations applicable for Ministry of Defence and its amendments thereof. Selected Students need to provide the bank details for transfer of Internship amount (Pass Book Front Page / Cancelled Cheque). At the time of joining, Student is required to bring the Aadhar card along with college ID card for verification. They should also submit 03 nos. Passport size colour Photographs at the time of Joining. All Previous semesters marks sheet in original for verification should be brought and original documents will be returned immediately after verification. Any other documents if required will be communicated to the student at the time of selection / joining. Indemnity Form to be filled by student at the time of joining Internship at DEAL.
