DRDO Paid Internship Scheme Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), Hyderabad is one of the premier laboratories of the Defence R&D Organization (DRDO), involved in cutting-edge research & development of advanced materials and technologies for defence applications. DMRL invites applications from interested students of Indian Nationality for enrolment under the Paid Internship Scheme of DRDO for a period of 06 (six) months. Applications are invited from eligible Final Year students pursuing under-graduation (BE / BTech) or post-graduation (ME/ MTech/ MSc) in engineering/science in the prescribed format. Eligibility Criteria Pursuing Graduates in Engineering in the specified disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 (on a scale of 10) in all previous semesters and Pursuing Post Graduates in Engineering or Science should have 70% mark in the 1st Year exam. Students must be enrolled for full time course in the respective discipline from an AICTE/ UGC approved College/University. Age Limit:- Below 28 Years (as on 31st July 2026) Internship Duration 06 Months (Fixed) Selection Procedure Selection will be made from the applied candidates based on merit or online /offline interview or interaction as required Selected students will only be notified about the joining procedures through the mail ID mentioned in the application form. Incomplete / erroneous applications received or received after the due date will be rejected. No further communication in this regard will be entertained. Selection will be based entirely on merit basis. No communication will be made to the students not selected for the internship. Stipend Stipend of total Rs. 30,000/- in two installments will be paid (Rs. 15,000/- after completion of 3 months and Rs. 15000/- after completion of 6 months) subject to attendance of minimum 15 days in a month. The Paid Internship shall be applicable for 06 months duration only. Students who do not complete the 06 months internship are not eligible for the stipend or certificate. Other expenditure such as lodging, boarding, transport & medical etc if any, will be borne by the individual student during the course of internship.
