Science Academies' Summer School in Physics For Undergraduate Students with Disabilities Considering the urgent need to make STEM education-particularly experimental science-accessible to students with disabilities (SwDs) in India, the Indian Academy of Sciences is organising a two-week teaching and laboratory programme for undergraduate students with disabilities and neurodiversity needs. Participation Criteria Undergraduate students with varied disabilities studying Physics at any university/institute in India; OR Students pursuing B.Ed. (Special Education). Students with less than benchmark disabilities may also be considered based on individual circumstances. Support Provided Travel support limited to III AC class rail fare from the participant's hometown to Bengaluru and back by the shortest route Free boarding and lodging for the entire duration of the programme Additional travel support and appropriate hospitality arrangements shall be provided for students with benchmark disabilities (i.e., not less than 40% disability), including those with intellectual disabilities, wherever required. In such cases, support for an escort may also be extended, based on the specific needs of the student and with the consent of the beneficiary. Registration Fee Nil Programme Coordinator Prof. V.
