About SURAJ, IIT Jodhpur The Summer Undergraduate Research at Jodhpur (SURAJ), IIT Jodhpur offers undergraduate students an opportunity to gain hands-on research experience under the mentorship of IIT Jodhpur faculty. The programme is usually attended by the following regularly enrolled students of the prestigious institute: B.Tech. students after the 5th semester with CGPA ≥ 7.0 / 10 M.Sc. students after the 1st semester with CGPA ≥ 7.0 / 10 Students are strongly encouraged to explore faculty profiles, research labs, and project areas before applying. Only a limited number of seats are available; therefore, applicants with strong academic credentials and relevant interests will be given preference. Enrollment Status:B.Tech./B.E. – in 3rd year M.Sc. in 1st year Academic Requirements: Minimum CGPA ≥ 7.0 / 10 (after 5th semester for B.Tech. students and after 1st semester for M.Sc. students.) Stipend Eligibility An intern will be eligible for a stipend of Rs. 6000/- per month (for a maximum duration of 2 months) subject to the following conditions Pursuing B.Tech./B.S. (Completed 5th Semester) or M.Sc. (Completed 1st Semester) at NITs (having MoU with IIT Jodhpur) Minimum CGPA: 7.0/10 (At the end of 5th Semester for B.Tech./B.S. and 1st Semester for M.Sc.) A satisfactory grade from the project mentor at the end of the internship. Even if a student does not meet the above criteria, they will be allowed to participate in the internship without receiving the stipend and faculty members may provide stipend through projects. Duration of Internship Internships can be offered for periods of 2 months. The duration will be decided within the given time block by the project mentors and interns mutually based on the nature of the project/requirement of project-related work and the availability of other logistics. The internships are offered during the summer (May to July).
