Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) Internship Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is the lead Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space (DOS), Government of India. The Centre is named in fond memory of Dr Vikram A Sarabhai, the great visionary and the father of Indian Space Programme. VSSC pioneers in rocket research and launch vehicle projects of ISRO. The Centre also pursues research and development activities in associated areas like propellants, solid propulsion technology, aerodynamics, aero structural and aero thermal fields, avionics, polymers and composites, guidance, control & simulation, computer and information, mechanical engineering, aerospace mechanisms, vehicle integration and testing, stage separation systems, chemicals and materials. The ISRO/ VSSC offers a limited number of opportunities for Internship for young academic students undergoing courses in the disciplines of Science and Technology. Who Can Apply? (Phy/Chem)/ Integrated M.Sc./BS-MS (Phy/Chem)/Integrated M.Tech. 4th semester at the time of applying Marks upto previous semester M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. 1st semester at the time of applying Mark of Qualifying Degree (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.) Ph.D. Course work Mark of Qualifying Degree (M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent) General Instructions for Internship Applicants The candidate should be a citizen of India. Students who have pursued or pursuing courses in the disciplines of Science/Technology, which are relevant to DoS/ISRO Programmes alone, will be considered. The number of students selected for internship may vary due to facility constraints. It is the prerogative of VSSC to accept/reject the application. On account of large number of applications received for internship, it may not be possible to accommodate all the applicants. It is advised to identify other organizations also as an alternative, in the event of the application not getting through in the selection process. A student will be allowed to pursue only one internship for each degree course. The student shall be permitted to carry out internship only at the "Unclassified Areas of VSSC/ISRO." Eligibility for applying to Internship is an aggregate mark of minimum 60% or CGPA 6.32 on a scale of 10. Internship is offered to students from a recognized University/ Institution (India/Abroad) who are Enrolled and pursuing regular on- campus courses. Completed course as a regular on-campus student within six months prior to the opening date of the application window. No stipend/remuneration/financial assistance will be given by VSSC/ISRO during the period of internship. The duration of the Internship will be minimum of 21 days and maximum of 45 days.
